Where to take a Girl on a Date in Davao | Jack’s Ridge
Davao mall date
As a Davao expat commented on the last post, online dating is pretty easy in Davao.
“The online birds will give it up very easily. Just send them a message and let them know you’re in town and a few of them will be down to meet. Take them on a cheap date and the legs always open up the first night.”

Compared to Manila or Cebu, Davao city doesn’t have many things to do, nightlife or daytime meeting spots. Bored girls go online to chat to guys and are usually DTF.
So in terms of where to take a girl on a date in Davao you don’t need to push the boat out much. If it’s a girl off a dating site a walk in the park then food at Abreeza mall or SM Lanang should do the trick.

Or just invite them over to your room ‘to watch a movie’. Abreeza place is a good spot to live, modern condo by the mall. It has some listings on Airbnb.
The rest of the girls offline might be a tad more conservative than Manila or Cebu though. If you’ve come across a tough nut to crack, and are looking for better Davao date ideas, Jack’s Ridge is popular.

My Davao dating site girl from the last post told me about Jack’s Ridge. She explained it was a romantic place couples go to and I needed some Davao blog content so I said I’d take her.
I got a late checkout from our hotel and we headed there in the evening to get a view of the city at night.
Jack’s Ridge Davao
Jack’s Ridge is a mountain slope a few miles out of town with a bunch of restaurants and lookout points.
“Jack’s Ridge once formed part of the headquarters of the retreating Japanese forces towards the end of WWII. The Americans had landed in Davao in 1945, forcing the Japs to beat a path to Matina Hills where they had a commanding view of the Davao Gulf.” – sign at the entrance.

Making the 20 min trip up here for dinner should be guaranteed sex. Lots of spots to take a selfie too. Here’s the rest of the pics I snapped:
Was pretty fun and a good Davao dating spot. There are cottage hotel rooms up there too but those get pretty bad reviews on Tripadvisor.
Our taxi gave us his number and picked us up later that night to go back into the city.
