Top 5 Gyms in Cebu City

There are many gyms in Cebu City so it should be very easy for you to find a place to work out nearby.  The question is will the gym be nice enough that you will want to work out there.  Some gyms have very old machinery and don’t use the A/C so it gets really steamy inside.

Others have state of the art machinery, many classes, and the temperature is quite comfortable.  The problem with gyms in Asia is that the nice ones that run their A/C as much as they need to usually come with quite a price.  It will be up to you to balance your comfort level and your spending level.

Top 5 Gyms in Cebu

Gold’s Gym

Gold’s Gym is located on the 2nd floor of the J-Centre mall in Mandaue.  It will cost you a pretty penny to work out there but you will feel like you are in the same quality of a gym as you would find in the western world.  They have all the machinery and free weights you will need to get all your reps in.

They also will run the A/C and keep things at a comfortable level so it doesn’t feel like you are working out in a sauna.  If you want the best gym experience then Gold’s Gym is certainly one of the best options.

Fitness First

Conveniently located on the 4th floor of the Ayala Center this is another top notch gym, but of course it comes with a price.  You will have all of the amenities that you require and will be able to enjoy your workout in a comfortable temperature.  It is probably a little bit overpriced being located in the Ayala Center, but you will get a good workout in.

Power Gym

Another nice modern gym with all the things you will need that uses A/C.  Once again it comes with a price, but comfort is of the utmost importance when working out.  It is located in the Crown Regency Center near the Fuente circle.

Banilad Gym

Located in the Gaisano Country mall there is a much cheaper gym than the above options however they do not run the A/C.  It does have a wide variety of equipment and free weights to offer.  There are many fans around to keep it as cool as possible, but without the A/C it stays pretty sticky in there.

MetroSports Center

This is the best value gym in Cebu City and costs only 4,500 pesos a year.  It is located near the Waterfront Casino and has plenty of machines and weights.  They even have a rock climbing wall, badminton court, and spa.  Those cost extra but you get a discount if you are a member.

I don’t work out much nowadays so if there are better gyms in Cebu I missed out let me know.

Just an update MetroSports is 7000 pesos for a year or 1500 a month. That doesn’t include the boxing stuff on the 3rd floor (which sucks and is an extra 2k for the year) or the badminton (which I’m like who cares)
