Manila Pics – June 2017
Update – my Instagram got banned, I started a new one with some Manila pics here – @nomadphilippinesblog.
Highlights of the photos I took in early June around Manila, in Makati, Greenbelt, Malate, Ermita and the BGC. All taken with iPhone 7 plus. I stayed at Bel Air Soho on P Burgos and later Gramercy, both on Airbnb.

Lovely girls ,great food, what more can you ask for
I would ask where the great food is, for one.

Nothing ground breaking but some fairly decent restaurants.
Century City Mall = Gramercy btw.
Bonifacio Global City is a much larger area, hence a bigger selection.
My favorite is Din Tai Fung, which is a Chinese restaurant chain.
I still need to check out Din Tai Fung, keep hearing good things about it.
If you live at Gramercy it’s a bit out of the way. You can try it whenever you’re in BGC or at SM Megamall. I usually get Xiao Long Bao or wontons, a vegetable dish and a noodle dish.
Japanese in Little Tokyo, Korean in Ortigas, Western in bgc. And lots of good places scattered around. If you cant find good food youre not looking very well.
Pasha is good, some more pics:

And Ziggurat, Hossein’s Persian kebab, RICH Sports bar. Those five are my favorites.
sorry but i ve a bit of a prejudice against kebab as they re invading my country. oerhaps thecones you go to are not a commynity center for migrant dealers to hang out in and launder money?
I dislike any kinds of muslims as well and don’t eat at their restaurants as they dislike me just as much, but their food is top notch for what it’s worth.
It’s safe to assume that the restaurants are run by people with some money and the third world is generally not a place for people that can’t make it on their own.
The people coming to Europe are generally poor, unskilled and without noteworthy savings while anyone with a decent education and / or money is likely to stay in the muslim world.
Yeah my home is near Luton, England, apparently whites are a minority there now and some of the recent terror attacks were by guys based there.
Love to spend time and money in Manila.it has the most to offer. but it is the only place in the Philippines where it can get expensive and the traffic.so for me it has to be angeles city.we know already price to much for rent and hotels unlike Thailand and Vietnam .but I like western food and western tongue and that beautiful dark skin so smooth and soft.monger for life
Why not try Dumaguete? Post up by why not bar and ask one of the long term expats what the scoop is.
great pics… those two filipina in bed, wow… hard to go wrong with Hello Kitty. In Instagram ur pics seem almost better and you seem to use some good filters? You could probably wrap these into a Kindle book someday, if that’s not the plan already…
Thanks. Yeah sometimes I just increase the brightness sometimes in standard iphone camera, sometimes the ‘natural’ filter in photowonder app. Usually nothing if there’s enough daylight.
Were the two girls from ZZYXYZ Club freelancers?
What did you spend total that month for everything (fly condo w/ the pool, dine out, club/party, girls, etc)?
If you were following along on IG you’d know 🙂
About $3.5k usd, it wasn’t a long term lease for rent so I spent more that month. Was in ‘holiday mode’ too.
$30-40/day accommodation so ~$1k on that, then $60-100/day overspending a bit on food, girls (about 20 per month), lady drinks, barfines, flew to Boracay for a few days, took a car to Angeles.
My mate here said he was spending $100/day including hotels / airbnb, he was barfining a bit less than me too. So some will do $3k / month on holiday mode.
On ‘expat mode’ with a long term lease (~$500 rent), about 10 girls a month, some meals cooked at home, more time to get a girl’s number and meet outside bars, or to go on dates and get freebies, overall being a bit less wasteful, taking days off to just relax and work, etc., then $2k or less.
That Gramercy airbnb listing was $40/day but they discounted 25% for booking a week. They seem to changed that to 21% now – https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/2687882
The Bel Air Soho one was $23/night discounted 10% for booking a week – https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/8557694
Really and truly hope you ate that ass on the bitch in the pool. That’s prime poop shoot!
