5 Best Gyms in Manila

Finding a good gym in Asia is not always cheap or easy.  Many of the gyms you will find don’t use the aircon which makes for a hot, humid, and stuffy work out experience.  I am not by any means a gym snob and can make do with most any equipment, all I really need is aircon.

Best gyms in Manila

However I know some people are really into the full gym experience so here are some best gyms in Manila I’ve come across.

Top 5 Gyms in Manila

Gold’s Gym

Gold’s is located in China Town and has all of the bodybuilding type equipment that you would come to expect from any Gold’s Gym location.  They also have many group activities such as Zumba, Pilates, Yoga and body combat.

Fitness First

Fitness First is one of the most popular gyms in the Philippines and is probably the most popular gym in Manila.  They have at least ten locations in the metro Manila area so you should be able to find one nearby no matter where you stay.  They offer a wide variety of equipment to use and some of the newer ones even have boxing zones and pools to swim laps in.

Elorde Boxing Gym

Boxing doesn’t always have to be as violent as it seems and it can be a great workout.  You will surely get your cardio in and strengthen muscles that are otherwise hard to work on.

Elorde Boxing Gym is the top boxing gym in Manila and if you are bored of a standard workout routine then this would be a great place for you to go.

Beyond Yoga

Beyond Yoga takes yoga to a whole new level.  You could never know there are this many types of yoga until you have visited a Beyond Yoga.  They also offer many different zumba classes and zumba is really huge here in the Philippines.

Eclipse 24/7

One of the best gyms in Manila for night owls as it’s open 24 hours. There’s a lot of room here and a lot of weights so that you shouldn’t have to wait very long to get your sets in.

They also have very good trainers that will give you the help you need to get in shape.  It is the cheapest gym option on this list and it charges a very reasonable rate.  The only downside is that they don’t always use the aircon and it can get a little steamy at times.  At night when it is cooler out and less people are inside its better.
